Trabant 601-S Sedan. Heavy die-cast metal vehicle in 1:32 scale (4.4" long) was manufactured by Super Racer (Model 8677) in the 1990s. Yes, it is 1:32 scale and not the more common 1:34. Pull-back motor works well. Doors and trunk open. (It is NOT the somewhat similar 1:34 model from Welly or Sunnyside and it is NOT made in China.) This model is VERY HARD TO FIND especially in BRAND NEW condition. It is long out of production. I bought it many years ago in England. Sorry, I don't have the original box.

The Trabant 601 (or Trabant P601 series) was produced by VEB Sachsenring in Zwickau, Sachsen, DDR (East Germany). It was the third generation of the model and had the longest production run from 1963 to 1990. As a result, it is the best-known Trabant model and often referred to simply as "the Trabant" or "the Trabi". During its long production run, 2,818,547 Trabant 601s were produced and it was the most common vehicle in former East Germany.
