WWII Patriotic Covers: A Salute To: by Richard P. Boone, Wilmington, NC
This is a selection of 30 covers (17 different) from the "A Salute To:" series made by Richard P. Boone. Many different people and units were recognized on these covers, which were all printed in two colors. Richard Boone, a printer in Wilmington, NC produced more than 500 different covers during WWII. Linn's Weekly Stamp News in June 1944 noted that "his covers are all printed (lithographed) by himself, the editions are never very large and thus all of them will be scarce in the future."
Please order by cover number. When there is a skip between numbers, it means I have more than one of that cover design.
Prices are cheap! They're way under dealer prices and considerably under those in postal history auctions. All covers will be sent by first class or Priority Mail. You, the buyer, pay only the exact postage plus 50c per order for packaging and handling.
