B-29 Superfortress World Record Flight Honolulu to Washington, 1 Sept 1945. Autographed.

A Tinian-based Army Air Force B-29 Superfortress, Lady Mirage, shattered the flight record from Honolulu to Washington, DC on September 1, 1945, completing the non-stop flight in 17 hours, 21 minutes. This cover is unique (ONLY ONE WAS MADE!). It is autographed with notes by the flight commander, Lt. Col. Charles J. Miller and the navigator, Capt. E. Keller. It comes with a small map showing the flight path and a typed sheet with the names of all the flight personnel and a comprehensive description of the flight.
